Everyday I’m reminded how lucky I am to live the life that I do. When I was a little girl, my parents always stressed the importance of finding something I was passionate about, and something that brought me happiness. Very early in my life, I fell in love with the sport of gymnastics. It was not only something I loved, or something I was passionate about, but my happiness truly came from gymnastics. Despite the years and years of training 7 hours a day, 6 days a week, the injuries, obstacles, and people who didn’t believe, I continued doing gymnastics because I loved it and wanted to achieve my dreams despite how many people told me it wasn’t possible. All of these years later, I would have NEVER imagined that the little girl who simply fell in love with doing flips, pretending the monkey bars on the playground at school were the uneven bars, and every curb outside was a balance beam, would be living a life that continues to bring me so much passion, love, and happiness.... and while this isn’t the life I ever “imagined” or quite simply dreamed of when I started gymnastics, I’m constantly reminded how truly lucky I am to live this life, but even more lucky and truly blessed to have a handful of very special people I get to live it with. Here’s to finding YOUR love, YOUR purpose, YOUR love, YOUR passion, and never ever giving up on it ?
