Before I even run you through each of the new styling accessories, I want to discuss how you use them. All synthetic bristles have the potential to melt, but if you’re doing it right, they won’t. These brushes are heat resistant but they’re not heat-proof ? I’ve had the same brushes in my kit for 10+ years and the reason is that I never point the dryer directly into the bristles. Here’s a couple quick shots of me teaching @courthawkinson recently how to blow dry her curly hair the right way. If your bristles are melting, it’s very likely you’re causing heat damage to your hair as well! Instead of pointing your dryer directly into your brush, point the dryer down and run it parallel to your brush! You don’t have to be afraid of getting hot air on the brush, just don’t cram it in there! Your brushes will last so much longer if you’re doing it right! ? It gives you so much tension!
