I'm kind of bummed today. ??I know most of you are tired of this cause but your help really does make a difference.❤️ I agree, it's depressing and draining to know that around 5000 cats a day in America are having their toe bones and claws barbarically amputated.
But we must NEVER give up or look the other way. Cats need us! ❤️
I need less than a minute of your time.
Can you please respectfully ask @petsmartcharities and @chowhoundpet if they will do the right thing and only use Adoption Partners who don't condone and perform declawing? We are really happy to let you know that last month @petsuppliesplus told us this, "We are in the process of updating our adoption partner guidelines for 2019 and expect that we will be working to phase-out any adoption groups that pro-actively declaw or dock/crop pets they offer for adoption." ????
PSP told me that they should have this done THIS MONTH! ???
Also, please give a BIG thanks to @petco @petcofoundation ! After we reached out to them to inform them that one of their Adoption Partners, Starting Over Animal Rescue, Inc @starting_over_animal_rescue_ (SOAR) was offering declawing services, Petco immediately reached out to them to ask them to stop and they did.
It shows that Petco truly cares about the welfare of ALL animals and wants to be part of the solution to help us end this inhumane and mutilating procedure. Petco and Petco Foundation told us that they do not support the practice of declawing!
