This is the most distant object ever photographed close-up by humans. It’s over 4 Billion miles away - out beyond Pluto. Note: the left hand image is sharper than the right - because we do not yet have a hi-res version of the right view. But the stereo effect is only slightly affected, because our brain has the ability to prioritise fine detail from one side of the stereo. There is a lot more magic to come, as the data signals come down from the NEW horizons probe over the next few weeks. Bri
