1990: I was asked to get a “street” ad by @trackertrucks so Steve Sherman & I went to epicenter of street skating in San Diego at the time aka “School W” to shoot something. It was there that I first saw a young @willysantos doing the most technical tricks with a rare consistency, and @williamseansheffey doing late shuvs over the fence. I started trying 50-50’s on this rail but there was hardly any time to put both trucks down, so I leaned back and managed to do a 5-0 instead. Two years later I started @birdhouseskateboards and Willy was the first one I called about endorsing this new venture, based on what I had seen him doing that day. ?: @tsherms
