Karlberg has a long history as a military training centre, dating back to the 1700s. Today, the Military Academy Karlberg is a vibrant academic hub, working closely with the Swedish Defence University. For centuries, military academies across Europe have upheld traditions of soldierly honor and discipline. Young officers-to-be are schooled not only in matters of combat, but are instilled with a sense of their heritage.
