"The weather was perfect on this particular day, about 8 degrees Celsius and not a breath of wind. We knew there was a big low pressure system lurking over the horizon that was due to land the next day, so making the most of the conditions was paramount for the group.
This particular image was a time blend, approximately one and a half hours apart (the first image taken 4:40pm and the second at 6:28pm).
When I’m out shooting whether I’m intentionally blending or not I try and keep a decent number of images with the same composition. What I try to do is mix up the exposure times and or ISO settings, and always a shot or two with a higher f stop for the foreground exposure. You just never know what you might end up with.
I think the settings give a natural dreamy effect without having to create that in further post processing." - @garry_mee
