"Everyday the staff put out some food for the local wild Rainbow Lorikeets come in for a feast. It took a few shots before I was lucky enough to catch the moment where one popped his head up and looked straight at the camera. A fast shutter speed was necessary to freeze the moment and allow me to get a sharp image. The wide aperture enabled me to blur the background and keep the focus on the birds. A longer focal length was ideal so that I could keep my distance and allow the birds to continue their feeding undisturbed." - @susanadeyphotography
