Last week, four of our UK ambassadors: @marc.aspland, @eddiekeoghphotos, @helenbartlettphotography and @eyejogia headed down to the stunning Jurassic coast to join fellow ambassador @notonphoto to capture the British coastline in all its glory. Why? So they could see the world through his eyes as a landscape photographer. @notonphoto: "I knew there was nothing I could teach them about how to create strong images, but what I could do was show them how I approach my landscape shoots, from planning to waiting to execution. Landscape photography is (usually) more measured than the hectic, fast-moving, high-pressure environments they all work in. Although it can quite often be frustrating, patience and persistence almost always pays off. I hope that slower, analytical approach and contemplative mentality may occasionally be useful to them in their specialisations. I was also really keen to involve them in the routines that are so much a part of a landscape photographer’s life, namely waiting for the light, and hiking in the dark hours before dawn into an epic clifftop location. It was really special being there with them watching the light paint the cliffs, stacks and arches as day broke on the Jurassic Coast, I live for such experiences”.
