Me and Chlobird ? Happy National Bird Day #nationalbirdday ⠀

Everyone always asks where the nickname “chlobird” came from. When Marc and I were dating, he would call me “Bird” because he said I was like a spastic bird who kept flying into a window. The man is not wrong. ?♀️ Then when Chloe was born, he just started calling her Chlo-bird to go with “Bird” and she kinda overtook all bird references. ? ⠀

My favorite Chlobird related story is when she was in second grade and had to write a story about a fictional animal. Chloe wrote about a Chlobird that lived in a diamond nest next to an ice cream shop and would eat all of the dropped ice cream. She was blue and fluffy and quite lovely. It might be my all time favorite piece of schoolwork that I have saved from her childhood. ?⠀

Even though she is growing up, she will always be our little sweet Chlobird. ?
