“I was pretty intense growing up, always wanting to conquer everything; run the furthest, do the gnarliest triathlons, climb the biggest mountains... and I loved it. What I didn’t realize until much later was that I don’t think this drive was ever actually about conquering anything at all. It’s much more of an internal desire and craving to understand these peaks and mountains; to see the world from where they stand... to stand with them and gain their perspective. These journeys and challenges have helped me to realize my own strength and power. I think that’s why I go home from these adventures and stand a bit taller, breathe a little deeper, and live a little better.
