Runyon @teepublic Shirt 5 (from Friday’s hike) is an ode to the flick that made me fall in love with movies: JAWS! As much as @スター・ウォーズ featured heavily in my early films, Jaws also popped up a bunch. In #Clerks, there was the Salsa Shark joke, with Randal quoting Brody and Quint. In #Mallrats, Brodie and T.S. Quint thought the height of romance was proposing when Jaws popped out of the water at @unistudios. In ChasingAmy, I mirrored the scars scene aboard the Orca, right down to light fixtures that were in the actual Jaws film. This movie probably saved my life because it kept me from going into the ocean from age 5 until today - and mind you, I grew up in a beach town, mere meters from the sea itself.
