When Stefan Steil and Eric Pike purchased an 1840s townhouse in the West Village, their vision was simple: turn a blank apartment into a stylish and comfortable home. With a skilled precision and imaginative eye, the once-bare penthouse was completely reimagined into a monochrome-yet-whimsy space that valued texture over color. In the living room the 19th-century armchairs, upholstered in a Perennials fabric, and the circa-1800 tall-case Mora clock are Swedish. The bronze-and-basalt cocktail tables are custom, the steel wall lamp is by Wo & Wé, and the burl-root sculpture on the mantel is from Full Circle Modern. Link in bio for the full tour.
