hi all—i hope everyone had (is having) a wonderful holiday (if you celebrate) full of love, family and good food! ❄️??. on a day that is about giving (but can easily be about gluttony and commercialism) i just wanted to reach out & encourage you to package up the food that you don’t eat, and instead of saving it for leftovers, heat it up and bring it to someone in need! i know here in New York (and many big cities, LA, Seattle) the homeless rate is unimaginably high, and many shelters can not accommodate everyone who needs shelter and food! with the low temperatures, and with this being a holiday, please make some time to give what you can (if you can). no one should be alone or hungry, especially on a holiday. thanks for listening !! ps: if you can give more (sweatshirts, hats, scarves, blankets, water!!) please do!! plus, it’s a very fun family bonding activity. ???
