Flashback to the first wave of the biggest set I ever took on the head at Wedge (you can see me about to duckdive) ... this isn’t the peak ... this is the wave that breaks into the jetty ... the next few peaks smoked us ... @ronromanosky who shot this picture said the lines stretched from Wedge jetty all the way to Balboa Pier ... with the waves people ride today I laugh that this was gnarly to me ... but one person’s comfort zone is another persons drowning machine ... #respect to everyone who rides big surf ... it really is a matter of faith ??
