This morning, we had Harlow’s class breakfast at school. The kids each presented a written fiction story that they’ve been working on. Harlow’s story was called, “The Unicorn Meets a Person.” It went like this (all spelling has been corrected): “Olivia meets a unicorn. She rides it to her sister. After her sister saw the unicorn, she went to her house. Then she went back to her sister. She took her sister to show her mom the unicorn. They were so happy.” Harlow told me that the story wasn’t all fiction because if she ever met a unicorn, she really would ride it to show Mazzy.
