The elephant herd had snow much fun when our keepers surprised them with icy Christmas-themed Enrichment, topped off with a snowman decorated with fresh apples, carrots and bananas. It didn’t stand for long though, with Tang Mo knocking it straight to the ground with her trunk. This was also little Jai Dee’s second Christmas, but his first time ever seeing snow!
Keepers regularly provide enrichment items to encourage natural behaviours and keep the Zoo’s animals active, healthy and sharp-minded. It was only appropriate that this time of year the enrichment has a Christmas theme!
