This is my favorite time of day…
Early morning quiet time journaling by the light of the tree. I take this quiet time with my coffee and journal before the kids wake up every morning. It’s the way that I prepare my heart for the day. Mornings can be lovely and peaceful with my kids, but they can also be yell-y and emotional, and having my mediative space (and coffee!!) helps me to welcome whatever they bring.

We decorated the tree last week and it was such a sweet night. The exuberance.. the anticipation leading up to decorating time. Tender time with my mom and our dear friends who just had their first baby (please note the pic of me with Peter and my mom was taken by Hannah!!). Christmas music, home made ornaments and and hot chocolate made in our milk frother (just tried that for the first time and whoa! So good!!). I know this season can be crazy nutso with traveling and to do lists and planning and shopping ?????? but today, I’m soaking up the sweet, quiet tender moments that the season brings. ?❤️?❤️?
