Photo by @jonathan_irish // One of the things I love about photography is standing shoulder to shoulder with other people who have the same passion as mine and sharing an incredible experience together. I love talking about photography during these times...what cameras we have, what setting we are using, what filters, what other locations are good, what’s the weather going to do, where we saw wildlife last, yada yada yada. I love it. All of it. Keep it coming. Let’s get deep into it and come out better together. I have an equal appreciation of shooting on my own..there’s a time and place to be quiet and solo with one’s passion, and I generally do much more solo shooting than groups. But those times where you are shooting a famous location (like oxbow bend in Grand Teton pictured here) and there’s photogs everywhere around, or when I am teaching in workshops, I love it too. I’ve met so many interesting and cool people (and a fair share of not so cool people) while standing shoulder to shoulder during a shoot. I still keep in touch with and consider many people I’ve met, perhaps for only 15 minutes sometimes, good friends.
