The mountain world of the #NorthCascades #NationalPark in #Washington is a rich and varied landscape. Climbing up from the lush forests and misty valleys, the plants and animals change. The giant ponderosa pines of the lowlands give way to Douglas-fir and Pacific silver fir. At higher elevations, there are only stunted bushes and colorful lichen.
