I just read the final editor’s letter that @タヴィ・ゲヴィンソン wrote for the closing of @rookiemag - my heart sank but also sighed with the weight of understanding. I know what it feels like to be faced with choices that don’t feel good and to want to move forward with integrity in a way that feels true to the spirit of how something began. Although I was older than the intended demographic of Rookie; it always felt like an online home to me. The concept of people having honest talks about life and learning and love and friendships knows no age, and I am so thankful that Rookie existed. I so admire all that Tavi and her incredible team did to bring vulnerability to the web- no small task- and to handle so many tricky topics with care and respect.
