A wise woman told us, “When you volunteer, you get back more than you give.” That wise woman is Georgine and she and Diane (my hug buddy here) have been our cooking and volunteer partners for the past two years at Angel Food East in Kingston, NY. Last week we got to film LIVE at Angel Food East (check out our pinned stories or IGTV for clips!) because the team at @smokehouse1952 kindly donated beautiful hams for us to make a special holiday meal for our clients who are in need. I love working with a family run company and getting to introduce the @smokehouse1952 team to OUR volunteer family meant so much. I never knew Diane would come alive so much in camera but she loved it. She told me, “My family has the internet and they’ll see me on this!” So to Diane’s family, thank you for sharing her with us every week.
