Alexander Gerst configures a specialized microscope, called the Light Microscopy Module, to view complex three-dimensional structures assembled from small particles suspended in a fluid. Sergey Prokopyev explores complex plasmas, or ionized gases produced by high temperatures, and how they interact in space and solar radiation.
