It’s no secret I’m not a big fan of this holiday season. I do see the joy it brings to some people but in the end I think this capitalist faith based system that we’ve propped up is only harming us and the rest of our ecosystem which we are biologically tied to. My Christmas wish for the world is that there is someone out there much smarter than I that is working on disrupting this antiquated system with the same fervor that Silicon Valley is trying to disrupt the auto industry with fancy electric cars and scooters while simultaneously trying to make the most money for their investors and themselves. I hate to sound like a grinch but this season can be a very stressful and depressing time for people due to the economic disparity this system has wrought and the expectations of buying things to quell the commodified desires foisted upon us by the relentless marketing messages that surround us like wallpaper. What do you think? Am I a grinch that needs to get over it? Do you have more optimistic visions? I’d love to hear them if so.
