Photo by @jonathan_irish // I’ve been to Iceland many times and I must say it is one of my favorite places in the world. Inevitably, I always find myself on the side of the road gawking at and photographing (like a madman) the incredible Icelandic horses. I think horses are beautiful animals, but I wouldn’t normally go so crazy about them in other countries. There’s something about the horses here in Iceland...their wild nature, their beautiful long manes, and the fact that there is always an insanely cool backdrop to photograph them against. Just be sure to pull over in a safe place that doesn’t block traffic, as that is becoming more and more a hazard. I shot this photo on the western Snaefellsnes peninsula.
