When I started freediving and spearfishing, all the odds were against me.
Montreal, where I’m from, is nowhere near the sea and due to an old accident when I almost drowned, the ocean petrified me to my core.
But after experiencing and falling in love with harvesting my own food in a selective and respectful way, I knew I had to get over that fear.
After a couple of years taking the time to work on my mental strength and irrational fear, the ocean, the place that scared me the most, became my home.
