Aging happens to everyone right? Or am I effing crazy? Why is this photo so up close? Transparency... Someone made a comment on a post about how wrinkly my face is. How I must be much younger than I look. Unkind comments are part of social media, I get it. But for some reason this one hit a nerve. Yes, I have wrinkles around my eyes, my forehead and they’re creeping up everywhere! All of the lines on my face are from a LIFETIME of experiences- good, sad, extraordinary, debilitating, painful, glorifying, happy, exhilarating, you get my point. When I read her comment my initial reaction was sadness and I took it down because it felt like $h!# and I didn’t want anyone else to jump on her bandwagon. I had a moment of weakness and turned away from speaking my truth. .
