Did you know that Japan's "furoshiki" was the world's first eco bag? FUROSHIKI PARIS is a Japonismes 2018 special event under Tandem Paris-Tokyo 2018 - a project promoting cultural exchange between Tokyo and Paris - takes place at Maison de la Culture du Japon à Paris (until Nov. 24) and Hotel de Ville pavilion (ended Nov. 6). The exhibition celebrates the decorated Japanese cloth originally used in the bath house, but now loved for wrapping and carrying all matter of items and gifts. Our in-house creators provided 20 furoshiki designs for the exhibition, of which some were used in workshops on site at MCJP.
