Chicken the declawed kitty is now at MedVet - Columbus to be checked out by a veterinary specialist. She is obviously very scared and I’m so sad she has to go through this. ????
Thank you to Doug, a wonderful man from a local cat shelter for picking her up and driving an hour each way to take her.❤️
My mom is paying for Chicken's medical care with her own money.

In a nutshell, according to the cat owner, she was talked into the declaw by a vet tech at @stringtownanimal in Ohio. Dr Ellie Scott declawed Chicken with a scalpel on June 6, 2018. Chicken has been standing up, limping, laying in her food while she eats, and is clearly suffering from her toe amputations since then. The cat owner tried to get help to treat Chicken's condition at Stringtown but this was their final diagnosis in September from one of their other vets, "Healed declaw, resolved fever, possible phantom pain if holding up paws at home.
No treatment needed at this time." Dr Ally Bond, Stringtown Animal Hospital.
They also said, "No sign of osteomyelitis" but when two of my vet advisors looked at the xray, there were clearly issues going on especially with the weight bearing toes.
The vets at Stringtown also said that her condition is probably from an illness that's going around in animals in the area. Dr Ellie Scott, the declawing vet, escorted the cat owner out of her hospital on this final visit. The cat owner had to find another vet practice to try to help Chicken’s condition.
