I'm officially a lady who lunches. FINALLY. Yesterday, I was honored by @citymeals, an organization that has fed housebound New Yorkers since 1981. I started delivering meals in the downtown blackout after Hurricane Sandy because it was a quick, personal way to help out my neighbors. From there, it evolved into a ritual amongst my friends (I think they needed better karma) and a family tradition at Christmastime to honor my Uncle Fred, who was housebound when he passed away in 2014. (It was awesome that the Blasberg’s were in town for this!) At lunch, I was incredibly uncomfortable being in a room with so many powerful women and being the center of attention—LOLS, that's actually my wildest fantasy! But what is surreal about getting recognized for working with Citymeals is that I get much more out of it than I put into it. I was humbled to be honored and I was happy to see everyone. Almost as happy as @jenbrillbrill, who finally met her idol, the pint-sized sex therapist Dr. Ruth (last pic).
