When he arrived in Chiapas, he says he was kidnapped by a gang, shot eight times, cut with a machete and left for dead. The #violence remains in the scars on his face. He decided to travel with the #migrant caravan, which began in the Honduran city of San Pedro Sula on Oct. 12 and reached the Mexican capital three weeks later, for safety.
