This trip to Yosemite has been largely about watching the kids become addicted to this place we love so much. I have been taking Fitz roped climbing some because he seems keen and because I can’t help but be my fathers son. Mostly it seems to help him build confidence. But a few days ago we decided to do a 5 pitch route. The first three pitches went really well. On pitch 4 he got scared and broke down crying for about ten minutes By the time we got to the top however he was all smiles. He even said he wanted to do it again. Thanks @adam_stack for rope gunning and @austin_siadak for holding Fitz while he cries as well as the great photos. It takes a village.
