Yesterday, we stopped in to provide some supplies to our local firefighters. They’re working 24-hour shifts battling the fire. We brought cases of water, sunscreen, chapstick, eye drops, face wipes, energy drinks, beef jerky, and granola bars, etc. It was so important for me and my girls to tell them in person THANK YOU for working so hard to keep us and our homes safe! And it felt good to do something positive amidst all this sadness and to contribute. They said the next 48 hours will be critical as the winds pick up, so if you’re in and around these areas please remain vigilant! Better yet, get out! We’ve already heard of hot spots flaring up in West Hills and a large DC10 just dropped fire retardant on a flare up in the valley at the end of our street. The pilots doing these maneuvers deep in the canyons are so brave! We are so grateful for all these amazing first responders, many of whom have been evacuated also ??
