As a gymnast, it would have been a dream come true if I was able to go to a school where I could train and study at the same time! This is something that’s pretty rare in this country but we have made it possible at @istaracademy!
Our Gym Academy at Shoreham Academy school allows students to access additional training to enhance their current level of gymnastics. It also allows high performance gymnasts to access the training needed as they prepare for elite and international level competitions whilst also gaining academic qualifications. We provide discipline specific training in Rhythmic Gymnastics and Trampoline/Tumbling. We also provide opportunities to explore potential career pathways and a chance to gain a coaching qualification in gymnastics!
I am so happy that I get to lead this exciting project as it has so much potential! I really believe that this programme will help to raise the level of many gymnasts individually. It will also open many possibilities to progress our group programmes which is very exciting for me as this is a big goal and passion of mine!
