I swear, for every group we host this place grows more and more magical. Today I had one of those surreal moments, where I felt myself almost transported back to the time when @island.yoga was just a dream and the thought of manifesting a studio seemed so very far away. I fought to make this space happen. Right now, I’m busy creating other things and sometimes I forget how I put things into action. That everything we live right now was once just a far fetched idea, a tiny seed of inspiration that I decided to speak out loud. There was a time before this studio, before Yoga Girl, before teacher trainings, before I was CEO with a company family of 35, before board meetings and budget approvals and brand agencies and company attorneys became a thing of my day to day.
Not long ago I spent most of my time sitting on the beach, wondering how to pay rent and if waiting tables really was what I was supposed to be doing in life. There were so many things I’d barely yet thought to dream of - teaching yoga, becoming an entrepreneur, running businesses, starting non profits, building community... I could never have imagined that a few years later I’d be here, doing this.
I don’t know where I’ll be in ten years but I hope I get to look back at this moment, in awe of what’s transpired since.
I guess what I’m trying to say is... Speak your dreams out loud. Put them in action. They’re all just out there, waiting for you to arrive at the moment where you believe that you can. #life
