Ever wonder how candy gets made? Everyone has a favorite #candy, especially on #Halloween, so we went behind the scenes of a beloved factory to find out how that sweet moment comes about. The Colombina factory in La Paila, #Colombia, produces a range of candies, from gummies to Choco Disks. The star product are Bon Bon Bums, lollipops with a gum center that are exported to 90 countries. 50 years ago, 20 workers made 4 million lollipops per month. Today, in that same factory, 200 workers produce more than 40 times that many. Colombina is now a multinational company, but it’s also a family one. The company regularly holds events for the community, and the candy is made with a tropical flair and the flavors of its home region. @christopherpaynephoto shot this photo of gummies being made.
