We don’t get enough coverage of people coming together. Specifically Muslims and Jews, even more specifically showing Muslims in a positive light in our media. This clip exemplifies what religions should be about, being kind to one another and striving to be better as people. As a human, I’m sickened by what happened. As a Jew, I’m not surprised antisemitism reared its head and my heart aches with my people. This gesture here was the tiniest gasp of fresh air in an absolute constant shit storm of horrendous news. Try to focus on the kind message of this clip without being monsters in the comments section.

Pittsburgh’s Muslim community is opening its arms to its Jewish neighbors after a shooting at the Tree of Life Synagogue left 11 people dead on Saturday. “We just want to know what you need. If it’s more money, let us know. If it’s people outside your next service protecting you, let us know. We’ll be there,” said Wasi Mohamed, the executive director of the Islamic Center for Pittsburgh.
