A young Honduran girl has her hair combed after bathing in the Novillero river, as a caravan of Central Americans trying to reach the U.S. halts for a rest day in San Pedro Tapanatepec, Mexico, on Oct. 28. Thousands of #migrants took a Sunday break on their long journey toward the nearest U.S. #border crossing in McAllen, Texas, about 1,000 miles away, the Associated Press reports. The trip could be twice as long if the 4,000 or so migrants instead travel to the Tijuana-San Diego area, as another #caravan did earlier this year.
