Remember when I said that the best time to beat the apple picking crowds is to go early? You can also beat the pumpkin picking crowds by going super late! We went two hours before closing. FYI, two hours is totally enough time in a pumpkin patch. BONUS! If you stay late enough, you get that magical “get the f out, the pumpkin patch is closing” lighting! The other thing I learned is that my kids are way happier to take a photo after they’ve had their pumpkin patch fun than when I try to take a photo as the prerequisite for fun. Although waiting is a pretty risky move and I’m not sure I could do it. There’s one more thing I want to tell everyone in case they missed it on my story. According to someone who follows me (a very official source), Eli Manning was at the same pumpkin patch at the same time we were. Mike is a HUGE GIANTS FAN but he didn’t see him because he sat the whole thing out in the car. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Sweet, sweet karma.
