Sad to hear about the passing of Philly legend #Karaz. Amazing Graffiti Artist (since early 80s). An even zanier DJ (truth be told I used to run his “K-Luva” mixtapes so damn much I think THAT was the true signal for me to morph from “b.r.o.ther. ?uestion” to Questlove
(His non sequitur out of nowhere song segues & random “#KLuva” name drops were so off the wall it became a work of art on some hip hop version of #PortsmouthSinfonia.) lastly for veterans of—-ahem—#thatsite this was the man that gave birth to a revolution: HE coined the term “okay....playa!” & it just stuck. Fans who remember MTV’s short lived hip hop cartoon #StationZero will remember the crew who ran a public access show with one of its characters named after him. Such a cool, funny creative cat.
