photo by @andrea_frazzetta // Civita di Bagnoregio is a town in the Province of Viterbo in central Italy. Civita was founded by Etruscans more than 2,500 years ago. The town is noted for its striking position atop a plateau of friable volcanic tuff overlooking the Tiber river valley.
Is a stunning little gem that has escaped the modern age mostly because of topography. Today, the only way in or out is by a vertiginous footbridge.
Towering high above, Civita feels well-fortified against change.
