Having just passed what would’ve been Worms’s 69th birthday, I can’t help but think back to all of the incredible moments we had in & outside of the studio. There was not a drop of b.s in this man & it was absolutely essential in the process of trying to agree on the songs that we wanted on “Thriller”, or any of the other albums we did together...We could exchange comments without ever “throwing a wobbly” (his British slang for “losing it”) & he was exactly the kind of warrior you’d want at your side on the battlefield. There’s absolutely nothing like the feeling of creating music with one of your best friends & I’m honored to have been able to work with & know him…Rod “Worms” Temperton, you were & will remain one of the best songwriters to have ever lived, & I want to thank you for leaving us with the gift of your music. Not a day passes that we don’t Rock With You!!…xxoo…
