The death toll from last week's earthquake and tsunami reached nearly 2,000 but officials have warned another 5,000 people are still missing and feared dead. Some schools reopened in Palu as children returned on Monday to tidy up their classrooms, but the number of people in Sulawesi requiring aid has risen to 200,000 and some affected towns remain inaccessible with the infrastructure badly damaged. The deadly tsunami triggered by a magnitude 7.5 earthquake slammed into Indonesia's coastline on the island of Sulawesi last month which destroyed or damaged over 70,000 homes and tensions remain high with survivors trying to secure basics like food and water.
