Golden pheasant | The bright-colored golden pheasant is native to the forests of western China. Like many other bird species, these male pheasants have a showy look, while females are much duller in appearance. The males flaunt what they’ve got, trying to catch the eyes of female suitors. Don’t be fooled, though, even though they’re bright in appearance, they’re a challenge to spot in the dense forests.
