Hi everyone! Happy Canadian Thanksgiving. I'm Tyler Ray at @gullphoto, a travel & wedding photographer from Seattle. In the spirit of the holiday, I'm excited to share my recent overland adventure from Seattle to the end of the Contwoyto Winter Road in Canada’s northern tundra! First, let me introduce you to my travel buddies. We call ourselves @teampanamera and we are a veterinarian, a geographer, a fitness trainer, a technician, and a photographer. Every winter, in the remote areas of the Canadian North, an icy highway builds on top of frozen lakes and tundra; serving as a lifeline for transporting supplies to remote diamond mines. Separated by water and spongy tundra, without the ice road, these mines could otherwise be accessed only by airplane. Our goal was to travel this ice road all the way to Contwoyto Lake in Nunavut. #LiveYourAdventure
