It’s my first day here in Jordan ?? and I’m really thankful to have the opportunity to visit this country and to explore its climbing with @マグナス・ミトボ @alexander_huberbuam @janvincentkleine @tjtriage ! Today we went to ajloun iraq al dub, which is in Northern Jordan just South of the Syrian Border. Tomorrow we’ll head back here then tour another area amidst some ancient ruins even a little more north. I had never been to the Middle East before this trip. Jordan is such a peaceful country, yet it is fascinating to be climbing in an area relatively near to surrounding conflict zones. I didn’t know much about this region before coming here and one of my favorite things about climbing is the places it takes me. Climbing is this vehicle to see remote regions of the world I would never otherwise visit, and it creates this immersive, active experience. It’s a global language that connects cultures and people over a shared passion. As I travel more, and learn about new people and places, I wonder- how much do we really know about the world until we visit and learn for ourselves?
