Winter Breeanne is a role model as a powerful young activist for voter turnout. Winter knows that voting is crucial if we want to make democracy work! I hope that when we look at the sacrifices that certain people have had to make just to have the right to vote, that it reminds all of us not to squander that right. As flawed as the two-party system is, and as polarizing as many things are, things only get worse when people don’t vote, because it means that the results disproportionately reflect the agendas of those who are very powerful and want to influence the process through their campaign contributions and targeted and manipulative advertisements. Winter is a 17 year-old youth voter mobilizer, @womensmarchyouth organizer, and @thecrookedmedia’s youngest contributor. Winter is bringing #PowertothePolls by calling on her fellow young people to vote and make a difference. I’m excited to work with Winter to bring a powerful message to the youth. - Shepard
