My Tunnel Vision mural is inspired by the bold aesthetics of Russian Constructivism while using a more contemporary color palette. The mural design showcases a printing press coupled with my Star Gear design in its center. Above the printing press, the text reads “Art should be everywhere”. The phrase “Art should be everywhere” is emblematic of my philosophy and is also inspired by quotes from artists such as Vladimir Mayakovsky and Keith Haring. I believe the mural itself - in public view, as well as printing and disseminating my works on the street as accessibly as it is symbolized by the printing press reinforces the text in the piece. The title "Tunnel Vision” is meant to be a bit ironic because I think art expands rather than narrows people’s view of the world. - Shepard
