???We have 3 new cheetah cubs at the Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute in Front Royal, Virginia! 10 cubs have been born at SCBI so far this year! Sukiri and the cubs are doing well. The cubs are Sukiri’s first litter.
Sukiri was hand-reared at SCBI with her 2 brothers after their mother was unable to care for them. Keepers always want moms to raise their own cubs, because it increases the probability that they will breed and raise their own cubs as adults. They are especially excited that Sukiri is bonding and raising these cubs herself. #WeSaveSpecies
