?Our basilisk doesn't slither through pipes, but it can walk on water! If frightened, green crested basilisks can sprint on their hind legs at speeds of 7+ miles per hour. That speed, along with specialized scales on the bottom of their feet, allows them to run across several yards of water before breaking the surface tension.
